đ§ Great Waves w/ Deep.Sleep + The Samphires
đ Independent – Sunderland
â° Doors: 6.30pm | Last Entry: 7pm | Finished: 10pm
đ Friday 30th October 2020
One of our last (and best) gigs pre-lockdown was headlined by Great Waves so weâre ecstatic to welcome them back to the home of blue pints. The indie-pop four piece promised lots of new music for 2020 and although the pandemic may have slowed things down, weâve seen a stripped back version of the follow up to previous release âClose Encountersâ on their socials and canât wait to hear it in full glory live at Inde-P.

Deep.Sleep played the first indoor socially distanced live set in the North East supporting Motel Carnation for our friends at Tyne Bank Brewery. Theyâre sounding better than ever with their new line-up and Orange English Sun live is worth the ticket price alone. A staple in the North East indie scene.

Newcastle trio The Samphires formed after suffering through GCSE Music together and are among the unfortunate class of students starting at University during a pandemic. Starting as a covers band before growing into an exciting prospect influenced by the likes of Big Thief, with hordes of potential, weâre excited to see what theyâre all about live and in person. You should be too.
