Proud Megan Davison pays tribute to husband Jordan Pickford

Megan Davison has paid tribute to husband Jordan Pickford after England’s agonising defeat to Italy on Sunday night.

Despite former Sunderland keeper Jordan saving two of Italy’s spot kicks during the shoot out, the Three Lions lost out to Italy after Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Bukayo Saka all missed their penalties.

Going into the game, Everton number 1 Jordan had already secured the Euro 2020 Golden Glove, having kept five clean sheets during England’s near victorious run in the tournament.

Megan was there to cheer him on at all but one of England’s matches, with travel restrictions stopping her and the other WAGs from travelling to see Gareth Southgate’s side in action against Ukraine in Rome.

She headed to Wembley on Sunday with Harry Maguire’s fiancée Fern Hawkins on board a party bus decked out in England regalia and, once inside the ground, met up with Jordan’s family.

After the dust had settled on England’s loss, Megan, who has been with Jordan since their school days at St Robert’s of Newminster, took to Instagram to post a picture of him.

Displaying how pride in him, she captioned it: “No words to say how proud I am of you and everything you have achieved, what a tournament, now let’s get home for our baby boy after 6 long weeks”

Among the many people to react to Megan’s photo were Love Island winner Amber Gill and Harry Kane’s wife Kate, who both replied with heart emojis.

Plenty of Sunderland fans were also quick to respond, with one posting: “Very proud Sunderland Fans. youve been outstanding @jpickford1

Another commented: “Please let him know how loved he is!! Absolutely world class last night. He is the best of us”
